Getting started

What is Groundworks AI?

Your marketing, without the CMO or the agency. Groundworks AI is the company; Scout is what does the work. It reads your business from your public pages, drafts a quarterly theme for you to approve, then writes your LinkedIn posts, and on Scout Pro and Scout Team your blog, newsletter and outreach, on a cadence you set, without being asked. Drafts wait for your review, and nothing goes out until you sign off. It's a subscription, starting at €29 a month for Scout, billed yearly.

Who is it for?

Founders and small companies where marketing is nobody's full-time job. The Scout plan fits a founder or consultant who runs their own marketing and wants LinkedIn handled. Scout Pro, coming soon, fits a founder running all their own marketing, across every channel. Scout Team fits a small team that shares one voice, often with one marketer in seat who needs leverage before hiring again. What they have in common: the ambition outpaces the headcount, and the founder is still close enough to sales to feed real context in.

Do I need to know anything about marketing?

No. That's the job you're handing over. You answer questions about your business; Scout decides what to say, where and when, and asks you to approve it.

Why not hire an agency or a fractional CMO?

You can. You'll pay a retainer, sign a contract, and spend the first month teaching them your business. Scout learns it from your website and a short interview, writes every week from then on, and you can cancel any month. No retainer, no contract, no minimum term. Try it free for a week. If your agency does better, keep your agency.

What do I actually have to do each week?

Review drafts and make a call on each one. Setup is about fifteen minutes, once: confirming what Scout read from your public pages. After that it's a few minutes a day rather than half a day a week. Approve what's good, edit what's close, skip what isn't. Every one of those decisions teaches it, so reviewing gets lighter over time, not heavier.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, a free week with no card. It starts with a free run that needs no account: give Scout your web address and it reads your public pages, shows you the profile of your business it built, and writes a quarterly theme and a LinkedIn post from it. From there you can open the free week with just an email address, with a post drafted every weekday for you to approve, edit or skip. We never ask for a payment method, and the week doesn't roll into a subscription: when it ends it simply stops. Billing only starts if you choose a plan.

Writing and voice

Will it sound like me?

It learns from your site, your past posts and your edits, and keeps the phrases you actually use. Every edit you make teaches it. The first drafts are written the way you already write, from what it could read; the longer it runs, the more of your own voice it has learned.

How is this different from ChatGPT or other AI writing tools?

ChatGPT waits for you to ask. Scout already knows what to write. A prompt box is a blank page with extra steps: it produces nothing until you tell it what to make, which is why so many founders drift away from AI writing tools halfway through. Scout works the other way round. It already knows your business, it decides what to make within the theme you approved, and it hands you finished drafts to judge.

A few newer tools have dropped the prompt box too, so here is the harder answer. The real difference is where the substance comes from. Most tools that get past generic pull it from what a team has already written down somewhere. We are betting it can be drawn out of a founder who has never written any of it down, by asking, in the flow of approving. That is the part we are still proving.

Does anything go out without my approval?

Not unless you say so. Even with "takes the lead" on, the rules are yours: you choose what it can move, rewrite or publish.

What does "takes the lead" mean?

It's one switch. Turn it on and Scout runs the week: it moves posts when your diary changes, picks up news worth a take, and tells you what it did and why. You set the rules: what it must always ask you about, what it's allowed to do, and what it must never do.

Channels

Which channels does it cover?

Every plan covers LinkedIn: a post every weekday, plus replies to the comments that matter. Scout Pro and Scout Team add a blog, a monthly newsletter, outbound email sequences, warm outreach to people who engaged, video scripts, and one-off pieces within a monthly allowance. Every channel runs from the same plan, so nothing starts from zero.

Can it post to LinkedIn for me?

Yes. Scout publishes what you approve, from your own profile, at the time you choose. Nothing goes out without your yes. You can also export a post and publish it yourself.

How many posts a week?

Scout writes one every weekday and can go up to ten. You choose.

Are the numbers limits or targets?

Ceilings, not quotas. Nothing obliges you to use them all. You set the cadence you actually want on the settings page, and you can dial it down or back up at any time.

What are one-off pieces?

The work that can't wait for the schedule: a case study before a pitch, a press release on the day. There are 15 shapes in six groups: proof and sales (case study, ask for proof, competitor battlecard), strategy and positioning (competitor analysis, positioning one-pager), PR and media (press release, media pitch, award submission), company updates (investor update, customer notice, internal comms), long reads and visuals (thought leadership, ebook or guide, infographic), and website (site page, landing page, pillar page, new or rewritten). Scout Pro and Scout Team include a monthly allowance, sized to cover a normal month with room for a launch.

Can I use Scout from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes, on every plan, at no extra charge. Add Scout as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in when asked. You can then read your drafts, approve or skip them, adjust your quarterly theme and change Scout's settings from the assistant. It's the same account and the same rules: nothing publishes without your approval. Developers can connect Claude Code, Cursor and other clients with a token created under Settings, Account, API access.

Plans and billing

How much does it cost?

The Scout plan is €29 a month billed yearly (€348 a year), or €39 month to month. Scout Pro, coming soon, is €89 a month billed yearly (€1,068 a year), or €119 month to month. Scout Team is €199 a month billed yearly (€2,390 a year), or €299 month to month, and includes four people; extra seats are €29 a month each, the same on monthly and yearly billing. You can cancel at any time. Prices are exclusive of VAT: Finnish ALV or applicable EU VAT is added where required, and EU business subscribers may account for it under the reverse-charge mechanism.

Do you bill monthly or yearly?

Either. You choose at sign-up, and Stripe processes both. Yearly is the cheaper route: the Scout plan is €348 a year against €468 at the monthly rate, Scout Pro €1,068 against €1,428, and Scout Team €2,390 against €3,588. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. If we change a price, we give at least 30 days' notice before it applies to a future period, and you can cancel before renewal if you don't accept it.

Can I switch plans later?

Any time. Moving up keeps everything Scout has learned, so your blog and newsletter start from the same strategy as your posts.

What happens after the free week?

You choose a plan or walk away. There's no card on file, so nothing is charged unless you subscribe.

Do one-off pieces cost extra?

Not in a normal month. Scout Pro and Scout Team include a monthly allowance, sized to cover a busy month with room left over for a launch. Past it, pieces are charged by use, weighted by how much work each one is, against a ceiling you set: Scout pauses and tells you rather than billing past it. The one piece priced on its own is the ebook or guide, because it is a far bigger job than anything else on the list. Everything on the cadence, from LinkedIn posts to the newsletter, is never metered.

Can I get a refund?

There are no refunds for partial periods, except where mandatory law requires one. When you cancel, access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for. Full detail is in the Terms of Service.

Teams

What's the difference between the plans?

Every plan is the same Scout. The Scout plan covers one person's LinkedIn. Scout Pro, coming soon, covers every channel for one person: LinkedIn, blog, newsletter, outbound email, warm outreach, video scripts and one-off pieces. Scout Team covers every channel for four people who share one voice.

How do the four seats on Scout Team work?

One person holds the function: usually the marketer, with every company channel, the schedule and the publishing. The other seats belong to the people who know the subject. Each runs their own LinkedIn, the way they already write, and on company content their job is to add what only they know, edit a draft, or approve it. Work goes out to a seat and comes back once.

Whose approval does a post need?

It depends on whose name is on it. If a piece goes out under a person's name, that person has to approve it, and nobody can do it for them. If it doesn't carry their name, their approval isn't required, and their silence never holds up a company post.

Can we add more people?

Yes. Extra seats are €29 a month each, the same on monthly and yearly billing. Scout Team is built for the handful of people who carry your story, not for a seat per employee.

Privacy and data

What does Scout read from my website?

Your public pages, nothing else: your homepage and a handful of relevant subpages, the same pages a search engine reads. It doesn't log in anywhere, and it doesn't see anything a visitor couldn't.

Does the free run create an account?

No. The free run creates no account and no subscription, and we never ask for a payment method. If you walk away, there's nothing to cancel. The free week needs an email address so the posts have somewhere to land.

What happens to my content and data if I cancel?

You can cancel at any time from your account. On cancellation we provide an export of your content within 48 hours, then delete your data within 30 days, apart from billing records we're required by law to keep. Full detail is in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Notice.

Does this site use cookies or tracking?

Only the essential cookies our hosting needs. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site, and no embedded third-party widgets. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first. See the Privacy Policy.

Where is the legal detail?

In the Terms of Service, the Privacy Notice, the Data Processing Agreement and the Seat Terms.
